Weekend Weather Outlook

11/5/2015

Severe storms and flooding threaten parts of the Southwest and Gulf States again through the weekend, and snow and ice will impact some northern states and the midsection of the country.  Our primary concern is for the safety of those we work with and around.  Should conditions cause a delay in a shipment, the first priority is making sure those involved are safe and taken care of.

  •          Severe thunderstorms will develop in much of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana today and for the weekend leading to more flooding in many areas that have not recovered from either of the first two earlier floods.  Threats include flooding downpours, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes.
  •          Colorado has chains required in some mountain passes.  Wyoming has some areas of black ice along roadways in the state.  New Mexico reports I 40 to be difficult due to snow and ice packed onto the roadway in the western part of the state.  North Dakota has a band of snow moving through.
