Weather Update for Wednesday April 8, 2015

California is still requiring chains in some  areas as of this morning.  

New Mexico and Arizona will see strong winds today with sustained winds expected between 30-35 MPH with gusting to 55 MPHpossible.

Severe weather is likely to break out today and tonight in Missouri, eastern Kansas, much of Oklahoma and northeastern Texas.  The greatest chance of tornadoes will be in eastern Kansas and northwestern Missouri, but could extend beyond these areas as well.  These strong storms will reach to near Chicago and Indianapolis by this evening.  Gusty winds, large hail, heavy rain and isolated tornadoes are possible threats.
